Having a clean house is a never-ending battle. It seems all I do when I come home from work is clean, clean, clean.....and for what? 20 minutes later it looks the way it did before. So, I have devised a plan to alleviate my problem. My solution is FAMILY CHORE TIME. Every night, or every other night...I can't decide, for 15 minutes everyone in the house will pick up to help me clean up. After all, I'm not the only one who lives in our house, why should I be the only one who cleans it, right?? I haven't ran this by the family yet, but I'm sure no one will have a problem with it if I threaten to go on strike!!! Just kidding, that would do ME more harm than good. I have no doubt that Anthony and Ivy will do their share, they just need a little encouragement!
Amen! Let me know if that works! I used to pick up after Matt ALL the time, but with him being 19 months old, that was all I was doing, ALL the time. I just had to remind myself that a pile of laundry, toys on the floor, or dust bunnies DO NOT define who I am as a person!!! I tell Mark all the time to find me a dust and dish fairy. He just laughs, but little does he know how serious I am! Hahahah! Good luck!
